Army Military Ballistic Overvest

An overvest is worn over existing uniform or armour, usually for identification, visibility or added protection on a specific task. We supply overvests to police services, customs and authorised agencies across South America.

The range covers ballistic overvests at Level IIIA worn over a duty uniform, high visibility overvests in police, customs and traffic colours with reflective banding, identification overvests carrying service markings front and back, and float overvests for maritime and riverine units.

The common procurement case is a unit that already holds concealable armour and needs an overt, marked layer for public-facing duty. That is a different purchase from a first armour issue, and it is worth separating in the tender: an overvest bought to replace concealable armour will be too hot for daily wear, while one bought as an extra layer over it will be correct.

Identification markings, reflective tape placement and colourways are produced to the contract specification, with a pre-production sample approved before the bulk run. Where units operate on rivers or coastline, buoyancy and armour are not easily combined and the two requirements should be stated explicitly rather than assumed to coexist.

Ballistic panels ship with accredited test reports referencing the standard and production lot. Supply is to authorised buyers against the end user documentation and import licence the destination requires, with pre-dispatch inspection before loading.
