The range covers patrol and field caps, baseball-style operational caps, boonie and bush hats with brim and chin cord, ripstop and twill fabrics, printed camouflage to your service pattern, structured and unstructured crowns, and embroidered rank, unit and national insignia.

Field caps and boonie hats do different jobs and services tend to issue both. A patrol cap is compact, fits under a helmet and suits garrison and vehicle use; a boonie hat with a full brim is what protects the neck and ears on extended outdoor duty, and in strong sun it prevents the cumulative exposure that a cap does not.

Crown structure changes how a cap wears and how it stores. A structured crown holds shape on parade and crushes badly in a pack; an unstructured crown packs flat and looks less formal. Where one cap must do both jobs, the compromise should be chosen deliberately rather than discovered.

Insignia is usually embroidered directly rather than applied as a patch, since patches are removed and lost.

Sizing should follow your own head measurement data, and we grade to the curve you supply.
