Hammers

We manufacture hammers in bulk for hardware distributors, construction contractors, mining suppliers and government tender buyers across Africa. Orders are quoted by the production batch or the container load.

The range covers claw hammers in curved and straight claw, club and lump hammers, sledge hammers from two to twenty pounds, ball pein and cross pein engineers hammers, brick and masonry hammers, soft faced and dead blow hammers, rubber and rawhide mallets, and chipping hammers for welding work. Handles are supplied in hickory, fibreglass or tubular steel with a moulded grip, and the handle choice matters more than most buyers expect.

Heads are drop forged from carbon steel and heat treated so the striking face resists chipping while the body retains enough toughness not to crack. A hardened face that shatters is a safety failure, not just a quality one, and it is the first thing a serious buyer tests. Wedging and fitting on wooden handles is done properly so the head stays seated in hot, dry conditions where a poorly fitted handle shrinks and loosens within weeks. For markets where that shrinkage is a known problem, fibreglass and steel handled versions are the better specification and we will say so.

Construction, mining and infrastructure work drive the volume we ship into Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania and South Africa. Contractors order sledge and club hammers as consumables in bulk cartons; hardware distributors order the retail claw hammer range in printed sleeves or on hang cards; mining supply buys to a specification with stated head weights and handle types against a framework contract.

Private label is standard at volume, including the head stamp, the handle print and the carton artwork. Weight marking and any required safety marking is applied at production rather than added afterwards.

For tenders we issue manufacturer's authorisation, country of origin declaration and a compliance statement mapped to the bill of quantities, with prices held for the validity period. Hammers are dense and ship efficiently in mixed containers with other hand tools, and consignments are quoted FOB or CIF.
