Crop/Grain/seeds Cleaning, Grading and Weighing Equipment

Crop/Grain/seeds Cleaning, Grading and Weighing Equipment

We manufacture grain and seed cleaning, grading and weighing equipment and export it in bulk and against tender to grain traders, seed producers, marketing boards and strategic reserve programmes across Africa.

The range covers air screen cleaners and pre-cleaners, destoners and gravity separators, indented cylinder and spiral separators, rotary and vibrating graders, colour sorters, seed treaters, bagging scales and weighbridge-fed weighing lines, and the screens, sieves and sealing parts they consume.

Cleaning is what converts a harvest into a saleable grade. Grain delivered with stones, chaff, broken kernels and foreign seed is discounted at every point in the chain, and the discount is usually larger than the cost of the cleaning line amortised over a season. For a marketing board or a trader buying from smallholders, a pre-cleaner at the collection point changes the economics of the whole operation.

Seed work is stricter than grain work. Seed sold for planting has to meet purity and germination standards, which means separation on size, shape, weight and sometimes colour rather than screening alone, and the line has to be cleanable between varieties to avoid admixture. We specify seed lines differently from grain lines for that reason and will ask which it is.

Weighing equipment should be specified with legal metrology in mind, since scales used in trade are regulated in most jurisdictions. We will confirm what the destination authority requires before you order.

Grain traders, seed companies, marketing boards and reserve agencies in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Malawi make up most demand. Lines are quoted with layout, capacity, commissioning and training.
