Army Military Bomb Blankets

Bomb blankets and suppression equipment are protective items used to contain the effects of a suspected device while it is dealt with. We supply them to police bomb squads, defence ministries, airports and authorised agencies across Africa, against an end user certificate and the import permit the destination requires.

The range covers ballistic blankets in aramid construction with carry handles, suppression rings used with a blanket, bomb suppression baskets and containers, and the transport bags and mounting frames used to carry them in a response vehicle.

These are procured as part of a response capability rather than as a standalone item. A blanket without trained operators and a defined procedure is of limited use, so this equipment is normally specified alongside training, and we will supply the manufacturer's documentation and operating guidance that the receiving unit's training programme requires.

Weight and deployment time matter in the specification. Heavier construction offers more protection but takes longer to place and needs more people to handle it, and the right balance depends on the unit and the vehicle. Airport and venue security teams usually want lighter equipment that one or two people can deploy quickly.

Items ship with the protection level, construction and production lot stated on the packing list, with pre-dispatch inspection photographs and the tender file provided for public procurement.
