Relief Aid Buckets
We manufacture relief buckets and export them by the container to aid agencies, NGOs, government disaster departments and procurement consortia across Africa, supplied in bulk and against tender.
The range covers collapsible and rigid buckets from 10 to 20 litres, food-grade polyethylene bodies, lidded buckets with tap fittings for safe household water storage, nesting designs for shipment, graduated volume markings, and printing of agency logos and batch codes.
The lid and tap are what make a bucket a water container rather than a bucket. An open bucket in a household with no treated supply is re-contaminated within hours by hands and dippers, which is the point at which the water treatment further up the chain stops mattering. A lid with a tap removes the hand from the stored water entirely, and in a cholera response that single feature is why the item is on the distribution list.
Nesting determines what a shipment costs. Buckets that nest closely put several times as many units in the same container as ones that do not, and on a 20,000 unit order that difference is a line in the budget rather than a detail.
Agency logo printing is usually a contract requirement rather than branding, since marked items are much harder to divert and resell.
Response operations across Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Chad and the Democratic Republic of the Congo account for most demand. We quote by the container, with your artwork and batch marking applied at the factory.
