Fire Monitor China
We manufacture fire monitors for high-flow water and foam application and export them in bulk and against tender to oil terminals, tank farms, ports, refineries and airports across Africa.
The range covers manual swivel monitors, remote-controlled and joystick monitors, oscillating units, trailer and skid-mounted portable monitors, fixed elevated monitors on towers, and water or foam-capable heads rated from 500 to 10,000 litres per minute.
Flow and reach are a function of the pump behind the monitor, not of the monitor alone. A unit rated at 5,000 litres per minute reaches its published throw only at its design inlet pressure, and a specification that states flow without stating available pressure cannot be quoted accurately. Send the pump curve or the standing pressure at the monitor position and the sizing comes back matched to it.
Corrosion decides service life more than anything else in this category. Monitors installed at coastal terminals, jetties and offshore facilities need stainless steel or bronze internals rather than coated carbon steel, and the price difference is small against the cost of a seized monitor found during an incident.
Remote operation is worth specifying where the risk is a tank fire. A monitor that has to be aimed by hand puts an operator in the radiant heat zone, which is exactly where the design should keep them out of.
Oil, port and industrial operators in Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Egypt and Mozambique make up most enquiries. Monitors ship with mounting drawings, a parts list, spare seals and commissioning support.
