Army Military Tents

We manufacture military and field tents in bulk for defence ministries, police and paramilitary services, disaster agencies and relief programmes across Africa.

The range covers frame tents, ridge and bell tents, command and medical tents, storage and hangar tents, inflatable rapid deployment tents, and accommodation tents from two-person up to large multi-bay structures. Fabrics run from coated polyester and PVC canvas through to cotton canvas, with flame retardant, UV stabilised and waterproof treatments to the specification.

Fabric weight and UV treatment are what decide the life of a tent in this region, and they are also the first thing cut to meet a price. A lightweight untreated fabric looks identical on delivery and fails within a season of direct sun, which is how a cheap tender turns into a repeat purchase. We state the fabric weight in grams per square metre and the treatment on the quotation rather than describing it as heavy duty.

Frames need matching to the deployment. A tent pitched once and left standing for a year needs a different frame and anchoring from one struck and moved weekly, and wind loading at the site should inform the pole specification.

Tents are produced to the contract specification with a pre-production sample approved before bulk. Packing is in bags or crates to the unit issue format, with marking to the contract, pre-dispatch inspection photographs, and phased delivery written into the proforma invoice where a programme is rolled out in stages.
