Mining Dump Truck
We supply mining and quarry dump trucks to mining operators, quarries, contractors and haulage fleets across Africa, in rigid and articulated configurations.
The range covers articulated dump trucks from 25 to 45 tonnes for soft and uneven ground, rigid frame haul trucks from 40 to 100 tonnes and above for prepared haul roads, and off-highway tippers for quarry and site work.
The choice between articulated and rigid is decided by the haul road, not the payload. Articulated trucks handle poor ground, gradients and wet conditions that stop a rigid truck completely, but they cost more per tonne moved on good roads. Where haul roads are properly built and maintained, rigid trucks are cheaper to run; where they are not, articulated trucks keep working. Most operations that bought rigid trucks and then struggled had a road problem rather than a truck problem.
Tyres are the largest running cost after fuel and the hardest item to source at short notice. We quote the tyre specification explicitly and will advise on holding a set, because a truck waiting on tyres is an expensive parked asset.
Copper and cobalt operations in Zambia and the DRC, gold in Ghana and Tanzania, and quarrying across the region make up most demand. Machines ship with manuals, spare parts lists and service schedules, with shipping dimensions and weights stated for route planning at the destination.
