Brick Making Machine

We supply clay brick making machinery to brickworks, building material producers and construction groups across Africa, covering both the forming and the firing side of the process.

The range covers clay preparation equipment including box feeders, crushers, roller mills and mixers, vacuum extruders and brick presses, automatic cutters, drying chamber and tunnel dryer equipment, kiln loading and unloading systems, and the dies and wear parts they consume.

Fired clay brick is a different business from concrete block, and the difference is fuel. Firing is the largest single cost and the largest constraint: a brickworks needs a reliable fuel supply and a kiln matched to the output, and many projects fail on fuel economics rather than on the forming machinery. We will ask about fuel availability and cost before recommending a plant size, because that figure decides whether the operation is viable.

Clay quality sets the achievable product. Plasticity, sand content and drying behaviour vary considerably between deposits, and a plant should be specified after the clay has been tested rather than before. Bricks that crack in drying are usually a clay and drying problem, not a machine problem.

Drying deserves as much investment as forming. Uncontrolled drying in open air produces high rejection rates in humid or rainy seasons, and covered or chamber drying pays for itself in yield.

Brickworks across Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda make up most demand. Plants are quoted with layout, utility demand, commissioning and training.
