Military Raincoat

Military Raincoat

We manufacture military raincoats and wet weather garments and export them in bulk and against tender to defence ministries, police services, border forces and authorised government buyers across South Asia.

The range covers full-length raincoats, hooded rain jackets and trousers, ponchos that double as shelter sheets, PVC and polyurethane coated fabrics, breathable laminated membranes, taped and welded seams, and olive, black and camouflage finishes.

Seam construction decides whether a raincoat works. A coated fabric is waterproof across its face and completely open at every needle hole, so a stitched seam leaks under sustained rain however good the material is. Taped or welded seams close them. In a monsoon climate this is not a refinement, it is the whole product, and it is the specification most often omitted from a tender document.

Breathability is the trade-off to settle deliberately. A coated PVC coat keeps rain out completely and traps perspiration, so a soldier on the move is wet from the inside within an hour. A laminated breathable fabric costs considerably more and keeps the wearer dry in both directions. For static sentry duty the cheaper coat is adequate; for patrolling it is not.

Ponchos remain popular because one item serves as a coat, a ground sheet and a basic shelter.

Defence and border procurement in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar accounts for most demand. Supply is to government and authorised buyers only, against the end user documentation the destination requires.
