Motor Grader

We supply motor graders to road contractors, mining operations, county and district works departments and plant hire fleets across Africa, in blade widths and power ratings to suit both haul road maintenance and formation work.

The range covers graders from 120 to 280 horsepower, mouldboards from 3.0 to 4.3 metres, with front and rear rippers, scarifiers, front blades and snow attachments available.

Grader work is the single highest-value maintenance activity on unpaved roads, and much of Africa's road network is unpaved. A grading pass restores camber and drainage, and a road with proper camber sheds water instead of holding it, which is what actually destroys the surface. Counties and districts running a grader on a maintenance cycle keep roads passable at a fraction of what rebuilding costs.

Operator skill matters more on this machine than any other. A grader in trained hands produces a road; in untrained hands it produces a mess and wears the machine out. We would rather quote a machine with operator training included than sell one that sits underused, and training is available with delivery.

Blade width should suit the roads being maintained rather than the largest job imagined. An oversized grader is harder to work in confined district roads and costs more to run.

Machines are quoted FOB or CIF with shipping dimensions stated, and ship with manuals, spare parts lists and a service schedule. Tender documentation is provided for public works procurement.
