Tea Bag Machine

We supply tea bag packing machines to tea packers, blenders and estate processors across Africa, with Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda accounting for most enquiries.

The range covers single chamber and double chamber tea bag machines, string and tag machines with or without envelope, pyramid and nylon mesh bag machines for premium product, automatic weighing and dosing, and outer carton and overwrapping equipment. Output runs from around sixty bags a minute on entry machines to several hundred on high speed lines.

The bag format decides the machine and it is a commercial decision before it is a technical one. Plain double chamber bags serve the domestic bulk market; string, tag and envelope adds cost per bag but is what export and retail brands need; pyramid bags carry whole leaf and command a premium but need a different machine entirely. Choosing the machine before settling the market is the most common expensive mistake on this product.

Filter paper and thread availability matter as much. A machine built around a paper specification you cannot source locally will run on imported consumables at a cost that erodes the margin, so we confirm what is available to you before finalising the specification.

Machines are set for the site voltage and frequency before build and ship with change parts for the agreed format, manuals, drawings and a spare parts list, with commissioning and operator training available.
