Ice Making Machines for Granulated Ice
Ice Making Machines for Granulated Ice
Catalogue
We manufacture ice machines and export them in bulk and against tender to fish processors, meat plants, markets, hotels, hospitals and distribution operations across Africa.
The range covers flake ice machines from 500kg to 60 tonnes per day, tube and cube ice machines, block ice plants, plate ice machines, ice storage bins and silos, ice delivery and rake systems, and the compressors, evaporators and controls they use.
In most of the markets we supply, ice is the cold chain. Where mains power is unreliable and refrigerated transport is scarce, an ice plant at the landing site or the market is what keeps fish and meat saleable through the day, and it does so without needing power at the point of use. That makes plant reliability and a local spares holding far more important than the headline efficiency figure.
Ice type should follow the product. Flake ice has a large surface area, chills fast and packs around irregular shapes, which is why fish handlers use it. Block ice melts slowly and travels, which suits distribution to markets with no power at all.
Water quality determines ice quality and machine life. Hard or silty feed water scales the evaporator and shortens the plant's life considerably, and a filtration or softening stage is cheaper than the repair.
Storage should be sized for a day's production rather than an hour's, since demand at a landing site arrives in a few concentrated hours and a machine cannot catch up during them.
Fisheries, markets and processors in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique account for most demand.
