Automatic VFFS Packing Line

We manufacture complete vertical form fill seal packing lines and export them to food manufacturers, snack producers and agricultural processors across South America, supplied as turnkey installations.

A line under this heading is quoted as one scope: product infeed and elevator, multihead or auger filler, the VFFS machine itself, gas flushing where required, date coding, checkweigher, metal detection, reject station, accumulation table and case packer, with the conveyors and controls that connect them.

A line is only as fast as its slowest machine, and the slowest machine is rarely the one buyers focus on. Plants specify a fast bagger and feed it with a weigher that cannot keep up, or run a fast line into a case packing station staffed by two people. Line balance is the whole design problem, and it is why we quote against a target packs-per-minute figure for the finished line rather than machine by machine.

Buffering between stations is what converts theoretical speed into actual output. A line with no accumulation runs at the rate of its most frequent stoppage, which is always lower than its rated speed.

Changeover time should be specified alongside speed. A line that runs quickly and takes two hours to change format suits long runs and nothing else.

Spares for a whole line should be bought as one package rather than machine by machine, since a line is down whichever component has failed.
