Plastic Flex Bollard
We manufacture flexible plastic bollards and export them in bulk and against tender to municipalities, road contractors, fuel station operators and car park developers across Africa.
The range covers spring-base and rubber-base flexible bollards from 450mm to 1150mm, surface-mounted and socket-mounted versions, removable types with a lock, reflective banding in one or two rings, and the base plates, anchors and sockets they fix with.
The point of a flexible bollard is that it gives way and stands back up. A rigid steel bollard struck by a car damages the car, the bollard and usually the mounting; a flexible one bends flat, returns to vertical and is still working the next morning. On a fuel station forecourt or a supermarket car park, where low speed contact is routine rather than exceptional, that difference is most of the maintenance budget.
It also means a flexible bollard is not a security product. It will separate a lane from a walkway and guide traffic; it will not stop a vehicle that is determined to get through, and specifying one where a protective bollard is needed is a serious error. For that job the fixed and protective types belong.
Base choice follows the surface. A bolt-down spring base suits concrete; a socket base lets the bollard be removed for deliveries or maintenance.
Municipalities, fuel retailers and developers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Egypt make up most demand, with reflective banding to your own colour scheme at volume.
