Traffic Barriers

We manufacture plastic traffic barriers and export them by the container to road contractors, municipalities, event operators and industrial sites across Africa.

The range covers water-filled and sand-filled plastic barriers in jersey and A-frame profiles, interlocking and pin-connected types, expandable concertina barriers, folding barriers for temporary closures, and the connecting hardware, reflectors and lamp brackets that go with them.

The whole economic case for a plastic barrier is that it ships empty and fills on site. A concrete jersey barrier weighs around two tonnes and costs more to transport than to make; a plastic one of the same size weighs around 30 kilos empty, stacks several high in a container, and reaches working weight once it is filled with water or sand at the roadside. For a contractor importing barriers, that is the difference between one container and ten.

Filling medium matters more than buyers expect. Water is simpler and drains out for relocation, but freezes where that is a risk and leaks from a cracked unit. Sand holds weight permanently and suits barriers that will stay put for the length of a contract.

Interlocking matters on any road where impact is possible, since a line of unconnected barriers simply scatters on the first strike and leaves the works open. Connected runs also take far less time to deploy, because the line holds its shape as it is positioned.

Road building programmes and municipal contractors in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda make up most demand. Barriers ship with connecting pins, caps and a parts list, in your own colour at volume.
