Traffic Baton
We manufacture traffic control batons and export them in bulk and against tender to traffic police, airports, municipalities, event operators and security companies across Africa.
The range covers LED traffic batons in red, green and amber, rechargeable and dry cell versions, torch-and-baton combination units, airport marshalling wands, whistle-integrated batons, wrist straps, and the chargers and cases they come with.
A baton is a hand signal made visible at night and in rain, and the specification that matters is the distance at which a driver can resolve it. A dim baton is obeyed late or not at all, which at a junction controlled by hand is the whole point of the equipment. We quote the visible distance rather than only the lumen figure, because the two do not translate directly for a diffused tube.
Battery choice should follow the shift pattern. Rechargeable units suit a force with a base and a charging rack; dry cell units suit officers working away from one, where a flat rechargeable baton is useless until it goes back to the station. Mixing both across a fleet is usually a mistake.
Torch combination units are worth the small extra for almost any road user, since the same officer directing traffic generally also needs to inspect a vehicle or read a document.
Traffic police, airports and event operators in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia account for most demand, quoted in cased sets with chargers.
