Traffic Flashing LED Stop Sign

The range covers handheld LED stop and go paddles, post-mounted flashing stop signs, solar powered sign units, school bus mounted swing-arm signs, battery and rechargeable versions, double sided faces, and the poles, brackets and chargers they use.

A flashing sign is bought because a static one stops working at dusk and in rain, which is when a traffic controller most needs to be obeyed. The flash is what separates the sign from the background clutter of brake lights and street lighting, and in practice it is the difference between drivers slowing at 80 metres and slowing at 30.

For handheld paddles, weight is the specification that decides whether the sign is used properly. A controller holding a sign for a six hour shift will lower a heavy one, and a lowered sign faces the ground. We would rather supply a lighter paddle with a smaller battery and a spare battery than a heavier one that spends the afternoon at waist height.

Double sided faces let one controller manage both directions, which on a single lane shuttle is the entire operation.

Solar post-mounted units suit permanent locations such as a school crossing or a quarry exit, where nobody will be changing batteries.
