Traffic Kerb Ramps
We manufacture kerb ramps and export them in bulk to logistics operators, construction contractors, retail developers and municipal authorities across South America.
The range covers rubber and recycled rubber kerb ramps, high density polyethylene ramps, modular sections that join to any width, light duty types for cars, heavy duty ramps rated for loaded trucks and forklifts, drainage channel versions, and the fixings for permanent installation.
These are bought for two quite different jobs and the right product is not the same for both. Giving a vehicle temporary access over a kerb on a construction site calls for a portable ramp that one person can move and that is not fixed down. Permanent access to a loading bay or a forecourt calls for a bolted ramp with a drainage channel, because a solid ramp across a gutter dams the water and floods the road at the next storm. The drainage version costs more and avoids a problem that is expensive to fix later.
Load rating has to be set by the heaviest axle, not the usual one. A ramp that takes delivery vans all week fails the first time an articulated lorry uses it, and it fails under the wheel rather than gradually.
Modular sections let a long frontage be built up and let damaged sections be replaced individually.
Logistics and retail operators in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru account for most demand, quoted by the pallet or container.
