Traffic Post
We manufacture traffic posts and export them in bulk and against tender to municipalities, highway authorities, industrial estates and site contractors across Africa.
The range covers fixed steel and plastic traffic posts, removable posts with lock and socket, telescopic and fold-down posts, parking posts for reserved bays, chain-eye posts for linking runs, and the ground sockets, base plates and anchors for each type.
Removable and fold-down posts answer the same question in opposite ways, and the choice turns on who will be operating them. A removable post has to be lifted out and put somewhere, which in practice means it is left out and eventually lost; a fold-down post stays attached to its base and cannot wander off. Where a barrier is opened and closed daily, fold-down is almost always the right answer despite costing more.
Finish decides how long the post looks like an asset rather than a liability. Hot-dip galvanising before powder coating survives coastal air and daily sun; powder coat over bare steel is cheaper and rusts from the base ring upwards within two seasons in the same conditions.
Socket drainage is worth asking about. A ground socket with no drain fills with water and grit, and the post then neither comes out nor goes back in.
Municipalities, estates and contractors in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia account for most demand. Posts ship with sockets, caps and fixings, quoted by the pallet or container.
