Traffic Retractable Belt Barrier
We manufacture retractable belt barriers and export them in bulk to airports, banks, retail chains, event operators, hospitals and public buildings across South America.
The range covers stainless steel and powder-coated belt posts, weighted and base-plated versions, wall-mounted retractable units, two, three and four way belt heads, belts from 2 to 5 metres in your own colour and printing, and the linking clips and sign frames that go with them.
Queue barriers are judged on the belt mechanism and nothing else. The post is simple and lasts indefinitely; the recoil cassette inside the head is what fails, usually by losing tension so the belt sags, or by jamming part-way out. On a barrier that is extended and retracted several hundred times a day in an airport or a bank, cassette quality is the entire purchase decision, and it is the component buyers never ask about. We will tell you the rated cycle count.
Base weight has to suit the floor and the crowd. A light base on polished stone slides when leaned on, which is exactly what a queuing public does, and a sliding barrier teaches people the queue is optional.
Printed belts carry wayfinding or your own branding and cost little more than plain at volume, and a belt printed with a queue instruction does work that a member of staff would otherwise be doing.
Airports, banks and retail operators in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru account for most demand. Posts ship with belts fitted, spare cassettes and a parts list.
