Traffic Rotating Warning Light
We manufacture rotating warning beacons and export them in bulk and against tender to fleet operators, mining companies, municipalities, utilities and airports across Africa.
The range covers rotating halogen beacons, LED beacons with simulated rotation, magnetic, bolt-down, DIN pole and bracket mountings, 12V, 24V and mains versions, amber, red, blue and green domes, and the spare domes and bases they need.
LED beacons with simulated rotation have largely replaced the motor-driven type, and the reason is mechanical. A rotating halogen beacon has a motor, a bearing and a bulb, and on a vehicle that vibrates all day the motor is what fails first, usually within two years. An LED beacon has none of those parts and runs for many thousands of hours. Where a fleet is being re-equipped we would specify LED and expect it to outlast two generations of the alternative.
Mounting choice is about how often the beacon moves. Magnetic suits a vehicle that only sometimes needs it, such as a supervisor's pickup; bolt-down or DIN pole suits anything permanently fitted, because a magnetic base eventually comes off at speed.
Dome colour is usually regulated by who you are. Amber for works and recovery, and the restricted colours for the services entitled to them, so the colour should be confirmed with your own authority before the order.
Mining operations, fleets and municipalities in Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania make up most demand, with spare domes quoted alongside.
