Traffic Safety Flag
We manufacture traffic safety flags and export them in bulk to road contractors, utilities, mining operations, event organisers and transport companies across Africa.
The range covers handheld warning flags in red and orange, flags with wooden and fibreglass staffs, vehicle-mounted buggy whips and warning flags for mine sites, oversize-load flags, bunting and flag line for cordoning, magnetic flag bases, and printed flags to your own artwork.
Flags are the cheapest piece of safety equipment on any site and they are bought in quantity because they are lost in quantity. A flagman's flag has a working life measured in weeks, and the realistic approach is to order generously rather than to buy a premium flag that disappears at the same rate.
Fabric choice does change how long one lasts. Mesh and knitted polyester shed wind instead of catching it, so they fray far more slowly than solid vinyl on an exposed road, and they stay visible rather than wrapping around the staff.
On mine sites the buggy whip flag is a site access requirement rather than an option, and the height is set by the operation's own rules, so send the required height with the order instead of taking a standard length.
Oversize-load flags are governed by the transport rules of the country the load crosses, which is worth confirming before a consignment is packed.
Contractors, mines and transport operators in Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania make up most demand, quoted by the carton or pallet.
