Traffic Wheel Stops
We manufacture parking wheel stops and export them in bulk to car park operators, shopping centre developers, industrial estates and municipal authorities across South America.
The range covers rubber and recycled rubber wheel stops, high density polyethylene types, 1650mm and 1800mm standard lengths, yellow and black reflective banding, and the expansion bolts, spikes and sleeves for fixing into concrete or asphalt.
A wheel stop is bought to protect what is behind it rather than the vehicle itself. In a multi-storey car park that is usually a structural column or a wall; in a retail park it is a pedestrian walkway. Position matters as much as the product: set too far forward and a long vehicle still overhangs the walkway, set too far back and drivers ride over it. We supply the setting-out dimension with the order rather than leaving it to the installer.
Recycled rubber outperforms concrete for this job in almost every way that matters. It absorbs the impact instead of transmitting it to the bumper, it does not spall or crack, it survives being struck by a snow plough or sweeper, and a single person can carry one. Concrete wheel stops are cheaper per unit and cost more over a car park's life.
Reflective banding is what makes them visible to a reversing driver at night.
Car park operators and developers in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru make up most demand, quoted by the pallet or container.
