Thermoforming Vacuum Packaging Machine

We manufacture thermoforming vacuum packaging machines and export them to meat processors, cheese producers, ready meal manufacturers and food factories across South America.

The range covers thermoformers in flexible and rigid film, forming depths from shallow trays to deep drawn packs, vacuum and modified atmosphere versions, skin pack capability, inline printing and labelling, cutting and separation stations, and the forming and lidding film they consume.

A thermoformer makes its own pack from reel film, and that is where the economics come from. A plant buying pre-made trays pays a converter's margin on every pack; a thermoformer buys flat film and forms the tray a second before filling it. At volume the film saving alone pays for the machine, which is why processors step up to thermoforming rather than tray sealing once output justifies it.

Film cost per pack is therefore the figure to compare, not machine price. A cheaper machine that forms a thicker web because its forming is imprecise consumes more film every day it runs, and the difference outweighs the capital saving within a year at any real volume.

Forming depth and film gauge are linked: deeper draws thin the film at the corners, which is where packs fail.

Tooling is product-specific and is the main cost of adding a pack format later, so it is worth deciding at the outset how many formats the machine will need to run.
